TUTORIALS FOR 2022-2023
MIDDLE SCHOOL SERIES |
HIGH SCHOOL SERIES |
The Middle School Series presents students with a broad range of literature selections from a variety of genres, cultures, and time periods. Arranged using an engaging theme-based approach, each text promotes reading for pleasure while cultivating the skill of reading with discernment. Additionally, as students investigate literary elements and analysis, they learn to question and respond to the ideas portrayed in literature. Because writing and speaking assignment are correlated with IEW®’s Structure & Style™ methodology, students incrementally build their communication skills and approach each writing and speech project with confidence and consistency.
|
The High School Series offers students the opportunity to hone their literary and analysis skills through investigation of classic and contemporary literary pieces in four specific genres: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama. From Sherlock Holmes to Shakespeare, flashback to foreshadowing, and marks to modes of literature, students develop their repertoire of language skills to evaluate and respond to the themes of world-renown authors from the biblical worldview. Since writing and speaking projects are incremental, customized, and correlated with IEW®’s Structure & Style™ methodology, students approach each writing and speaking assignment with poise and proficiency.
