Designed to furnish savvy high school students with the fundamental language skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking, Write Well Solutions 1.0 offers a comprehensive and engaging approach to learning and practicing the art of language. The art of communicating with confidence and clarity is paramount whether students are picking through the plunder of pirate exploits or musing at the kidnapping foibles of the captors in “The Ransom of Red Chief.” Live and interactive, this tutorial features all nine units of IEW’s Structure and Style® methodology and pairs it with both the award-winning Fix-It! Grammar and Wordly Wise 3000 vocabulary series to incrementally build students’ grammar and vocabulary skills within the context of writing.

Supporting students’ burgeoning composition skills is a classic short story collection selected for ennobling students’ moral imagination and enhancing their enjoyment of virtuous literature. Socratic discussion guides and literary packets provided for each of the nine short stories promote students’ comprehension, develop students’ annotation and literary analysis skills, and challenge students’ understanding of how the work reflects the author’s worldview.
Combined with its practical guidance for crafting university application essays and approaching timed writing essays like those featured on the SAT, Write Well Solutions 1.0 successfully equips students to respond efficiently and effectively with confidence.
Students in Write Well Solutions 1.0 participate in a private virtual classroom in which IEW® Accomplished Instructor, Ericka McClelland, guides them through their weekly assignments.
